Who is in it ?
There are approximately 140 students and 6 experienced teachers.
A college and career prepatory program offered on the M-A campus that opperates and feels like a small school within the larger highschool. It has been on the M-A campus since 1981.
What is The Computer Academy?
Academy Courses
Sophomores and Juniors take a Lab Science, Social Studies, English, and Technology courses while in The Academy. In thier Senior year they take a final Technology Course, Economics, and Government. All the other subjects are taken outside of the campus (ie.PE, Math, Art, ect.)
How are Academy Classes different ?
In the Academy classes are smaller and curriculim is project and inquiry-based. High stakes rigorous work is built into the day and much support is available for students as they are pushed to go deep into their projects and reflect on their growth as learners.
