Preparing students for education beyond high school plays a critical role in the Academy Program. the Academy students take UC approved A-G courses in addition to their technlogy classes. Students prepare for college as they imporive themselves as critical thinkers and writers thriugh a rigorous portfolio system. The academy offers college tours and opportunities to take college classes.
A central part of The Academy's mission is to prepare the students to be competitive in the 21st Century work force. To do this, students learn technological skills such as MS Office, Web Design,Video editing, as well as Animation through their course work. Students also work with mentors from the community during their Junior Year to help them acheieve their life goals. Sophomores are welcomed to request a mentor if they prefur to.
